Telegram is one of the greatest cross-platform chat apps, and new features are added on a regular basis. Telegram Premium, a new subscription-based project from the privacy-focused social media platform, is presently in development.
Telegram, unlike the Meta-owned social media services, is completely free. Though the firm has been testing support for adverts such as sponsored messages in the public channels, the chat app has not been publicly monetized.
Pavel Durov, the Telegram messenger’s founder, stated in 2021 that the company was looking for new ways to place adverts into public channel posts. Telegram’s experimental ads, according to the firm, will be short postings with a character limit of only 160 characters and no external connections, but will feature a link to a specific channel.
Telegram is also introducing a new premium subscription to the messaging service, in addition to official adverts.
The business is apparently intending to develop a subscription platform that will start at $4.99 and remove the chat app’s constraints. However, the premium plan’s details are currently unknown.
A Telegram community that keeps track of new features coming to the platform shared the following list of upcoming changes:
• Doubled Limits.
• Unique Reactions.
• 4 GB Upload Size.
• Faster Download Speed.
• Voice-to-Text Conversion.
• No Ads.
• Premium Stickers.
• Advanced Chat Management.
• Profile Badge.
• Animated avatars.
• Additional application icons.
Telegram Premium is available in beta for Android users, however you cannot subscribe to the service at this time.
